Melissa K. Waugh, J.D., M.P.H.

Ms. Waugh is the President and co-Founder of Trainikins, Inc., and Chief Executive Officer of Elcare Innovations, Inc. Prior to leading Elcare and Trainikins, Ms. Waugh was an attorney with the law firm of Vinson & Elkins, L.L.P. in Washington, D.C. Her principal area of practice was health care law, with a focus on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues, fraud and abuse, privacy, and health care legislation. She lobbied Congress and federal agencies on behalf of various health care clients, and advised clients on FDA matters. Before entering the practice of law, Ms. Waugh was employed in the health care industry for six years and has experience in group and individual physician practices, hospital laboratories, academic research and medical sales. As President of Trainikins and CEO of Elcare, Ms. Waugh has managed all financial, legal, marketing, and business development matters for the companies.

Elroy T. Cantrell, D.O., Ph.D.

Dr. Cantrell is Medical Director and co-Founder of Trainikins, Inc., and President and Founder of Elcare Innovations, Inc. He is a contract emergency room physician and was formerly associate professor and chairman of pharmacology at the University of North Texas-Health Science Center in Fort Worth, Texas. While at UNT-HSC he was active in biomedical research and has more than 30 research publications. He is the inventor of all Elcare and Trainikins devices. Dr. Cantrell received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Baylor College of Medicine and his D.O. from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. A native of Stuttgart, Arkansas, Dr. Cantrell is a member of several medical professional associations.

Marcy Thobaben, LPN, NREMT-B

Ms. Thobaben is Vice President of Business Development for Trainikins, Inc., while also currently serving as President and CEO of Bluegrass Health & Safety, Inc., of Wilmore, Kentucky. For ten years, Bluegrass Health & Safety, Inc. has provided Emergency First Responder Training (CPR and AED, First Aid, and OSHA Compliance courses) to over 600 clients in Kentucky and nationally. Besides training small, locally-owned businesses and industries, Ms. Thobaben’s clients include EKU (Eastern Kentucky University), University of Kentucky (Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Public Health), Parker Seals, Dupont (Solae), International Paper, Amazon.com, Bosch Rexroth, FedEx, UPS, and Toyotetsu America (TTAI) (training in both English and Japanese). She has provided Instructor Trainer courses for FEMA, US Customs Service/US Border Patrol (Homeland Security) in Washington, DC, and the US Coast Guard EMT School in Petaluma, California. Ms. Thobaben has managed the marketing, operations, and business development of Bluegrass Health & Safety, Inc., and has eagerly embraced the opportunity to bring CPR Teddy to the marketplace.

Melissa Bryant-Puckett Farley

Ms. Farley is Vice President of Sales & Marketing. She has 17 years of marketing, sales, human resource, training and organizational development experience. For the past 4 years she has owned and operated her own consulting business - www.leadershipconsulting.net - specializing in marketing, sales and operations. In 2005, Ms. Farley was recognized in the Blue Ridge Business Journal as one of their “Top 20 Under 40” Business Leaders in the Blue Ridge region and in 2006 was one of the Lynchburg nominees for the national Athena Award. Melissa is actively involved in her community sitting on the board of directors of the Lynchburg Chamber Of Commerce’s Leadership Program as well as the Junior League of Lynchburg.

Angela P. Campbell

Ms. Campbell is the Vice President of Operations for Trainikins, Inc. She has spent the past 12 years in the Human Resources, Business Management, Technical Writing and Training and Development fields specializing in recruitment, retention and associate relations. She has worked with companies ranging from the insurance, housing and restaurant industries to retail distribution and healthcare. Ms. Campbell is very active in her community serving on the Board of Directors and Community Board for the Junior League of Lynchburg as well as chairing two committees, PTO Board Member and Volunteer Coordinator for Bedford Hills Elementary School, Friends of Rivermont, Children’s Ministry and Staff Parish Relations for her church and Housing Board for Alpha Phi. In her leisure time, Ms. Campbell enjoys training for half marathons with her girlfriends and having fun with her husband and two sons. As a loyal Pirate alumna, she dedicates time to rooting for the East Carolina University team, especially during football season!

Laura Howard

Ms. Howard is the Director of Finance for Trainikins, Inc. Her previous positions include: Restaurant and Office Manager at Meriwether's Market Restaurant, Substance Abuse Prevention specialist with Central Virginia Community Services, and three years with the Leggett Retail group working in print and broadcast advertising. Ms. Howard has a long history of volunteerism with the United Methodist Church, Society of St. Andrew, the Red Cross and her children's schools. Ms. Howard also regularly directs and choreographs community theater and sings semi-professionally.
